The History of the Stilwell Studio

Malcolm started the business in 1993 working from home taking weddings and home portraits, complimenting this with picture framing. Shortly after this the business moved into a small studio in the Carnegie Design Centre. In 1996 The Stilwell Studio moved into its current location, where internal alterations allowed a studio to be set up.

Clare Stilwell joined the team in April 2004 as studio assistant and bespoke greeting card designer.

Over the passed 15 years he has built an excellent reputation throughout the West Cumbria area

Now specialising in family portraits and picture framing with the recent introduction of digital canvas art, the studio offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
